Many qualitative acoustic investigations, can be carried out while approaching with more close the ear of the object to study. It is also of current use to choose a medical stethoscope, taking off its diaphragm, for these studies. Electronic stethoscope ACB is intended to replace by improving the medical stethoscope. The two major improvements are:

A greater immunity against the simple air volume displacement.
The possibility of adjusting the sensitivity related to the conditions of the experiment.

In a current use, the microphone is held while the other hand can adjust the sensitivity by a potentiometer fixed on an auricle. This electronic tool for investigation helps very well for the analysis of the acoustic phenomenas and can not be used for quantitative applications.
